Pathogenic for Infantile neuroaxonal dystrophy — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000022.10:g.(?_38519082)_(38522476_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant disrupts a region of the PLA2G6 protein in which other variant(s) (p.Leu481Gln) have been determined to be pathogenic (PMID: 16783378, 24870368, 25164370). This suggests that this is a clinically significant region of the protein, and that variants that disrupt it are likely to be disease-causing. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with PLA2G6-related conditions. This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 10-11 of the PLA2G6 gene. This variant would be expected to be in-frame, preserving the integrity of the reading frame.
