Pathogenic for Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal neoplasms — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000002.11:g.(?_47927125)_(48033933_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Similar deletions that encompass the entire coding sequence of MSH6 have been observed in individuals with clinical features of Lynch syndrome (PMID: 28135145, 24323032). This variant results in the deletion of exons 1-9 and part of exon 10 (c.-83247_4018del) of the MSH6 gene. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in MSH6 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 18269114, 24362816).
