Pathogenic for Osteogenesis imperfecta type 7 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000003.11:g.(?_33171411)_(33174212_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 4-5 of the CRTAP gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in CRTAP are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 17055431, 19862557, 24715559). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with CRTAP-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
