Pathogenic for Propionic acidemia — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000003.11:g.(?_136019910)_(136021257_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in PCCB are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 15464417). This variant has been observed in an individual with propionic acidemia (Invitae). In at least one individual the data is consistent with the variant being in trans (on the opposite chromosome) from a pathogenic variant. This variant results in the deletion of part of exon 9 (c.923_966+1304del) of the PCCB gene. It is expected to disrupt RNA splicing and likely results in an absent or disrupted protein product.
