Pathogenic for Bardet-Biedl syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000004.11:g.(?_122766639)_(122766871_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 11 of the BBS7 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in BBS7 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 12567324, 19402160, 21209035, 31196119). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with BBS7-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
