Pathogenic for Bardet-Biedl syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000004.11:g.(?_123663048)_(123665180_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with BBS12-related conditions. A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the BBS12 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in BBS12 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 20472660, 27659767). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes.
