Pathogenic for Multiple congenital exostosis — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000008.10:g.(?_118649470)_(122282519_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the EXT1 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in EXT1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10679937, 11391482, 19810120). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with multiple exotoses (PMID: 29126381). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
