Pathogenic for 46 XY differences of sex development; Oligosynaptic infertility — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000009.11:g.(?_127245037)_(127267690_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Isolated whole-gene deletions of NR5A1 have not been reported in the literature. However, larger copy number events that include this gene have been reported (PMID: 19269353). A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the NR5A1 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in NR5A1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10369247, 11038323, 12907682, 19246354, 20887963). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes.
