Pathogenic for Haim-Munk syndrome; Periodontitis, aggressive; Papillon-Lefèvre syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000011.9:g.(?_88027174)_(88070840_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the CTSC gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in CTSC are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10662808, 11106356, 11886537). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with CTSC-related conditions (PMID: 23556547). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
