NC_000011.9:g.(?_31807092)_(31832375_?)del was classified as Pathogenic for Aniridia 1; Irido-corneo-trabecular dysgenesis by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the PAX6 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in PAX6 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 12634864). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with aniridia and/or Rieger syndrome. In addition, it has been reported as part of a larger deletion with the WT1 gene in individuals affected with WAGR syndrome (PMID: 10737978, 11284764, 17630404, 24138039, 26661695). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
