Pathogenic for Glycogen storage disease, type V — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000011.9:g.(?_64522725)_(64527370_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 1-7 of the PYGM gene, which includes the initiator codon. This deletion extends beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. It is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in PYGM are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 8316268, 16786513). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with PYGM-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
