Pathogenic for Ataxia-telangiectasia syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000011.9:g.(?_108098539)_(108099937_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant results in the deletion of part of exon 3 and part of exon 4 (c.109_218del) of the ATM gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in ATM are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 23807571, 25614872). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with ATM-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
