Pathogenic for Chondrodysplasia punctata, brachytelephalangic, autosomal — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000023.10:g.(?_2852873)_(2878441_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the ARSE gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in ARSE are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 9497243, 23470839). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individuals with chondrodysplasia punctata (PMID: 12567415, 23470839). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
