Pathogenic for Bardet-Biedl syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000012.11:g.(?_76739593)_(76742138_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the BBS10 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in BBS10 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 26273430, 27659767). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with BBS10-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
