Pathogenic for Glycogen storage disease, type VII — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000012.11:g.(?_48535509)_(48538245_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 16-20 of the PFKM gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in PFKM are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 7825568, 8037209). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with PFKM-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
