Pathogenic for Hereditary breast ovarian cancer syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000013.10:g.(?_32900944)_(32913477_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a deletion of the genomic region encompassing exons 8-10 and part of exon 11 (c.631+194_4985del) of the BRCA2 gene. It is expected to disrupt RNA splicing and likely results in an absent or disrupted protein product. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with BRCA2-related disease. Loss-of-function variants in BRCA2 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 20104584). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
