Pathogenic for Hypohidrotic X-linked ectodermal dysplasia — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000023.10:g.(?_68836153)_(69255459_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with ectodermal dysplasia (PMID: 11378824). A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the EDA gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in EDA are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 9683615). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes.
