Pathogenic for Anemia, nonspherocytic hemolytic, due to G6PD deficiency — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000023.10:g.(?_152954030)_(154005142_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with G6PD-related conditions. A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the G6PD gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in G6PD are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 18177777). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes.
