Pathogenic for Fanconi anemia complementation group Q; Xeroderma pigmentosum, group F; Cockayne syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000016.9:g.(?_14028029)_(14031735_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with ERCC4-related conditions. This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 7-9 of the ERCC4 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in ERCC4 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 9580660).
