Pathogenic for Brody myopathy — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000016.9:g.(?_28488837)_(29001333_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the ATP2A1 gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in ATP2A1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 8841193, 10914677, 23911890). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with Brody myopathy (PMID: 32040565). For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
