Pathogenic for Neurofibromatosis, type 1 — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000017.10:g.(?_29386946)_(29560072_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant results in the deletion of exons 1-26 and part of exon 27 (c.-35382_3550del) of the NF1 gene, which includes the initiator codon. This is expected to result in an absent or disrupted protein product. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in NF1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 10712197, 23913538). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with NF1-related conditions.
