Pathogenic for Osteogenesis imperfecta type I — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000017.10:g.(?_48268803)_(48269354_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. Loss-of-function variants in COL1A1 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 7942841, 9295084, 9443882). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals with COL1A1-related conditions. This variant is a deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon 31 and part of exons 30 and 32 (c.2014_2176del) of the COL1A1 gene. This is expected to create a premature translational stop signal and result in an absent or disrupted protein product.
