NM_173651.4(FSIP2):c.2689del (p.Ser897fs) was classified as Pathogenic for Abnormal sperm morphology; Oligozoospermia; Reduced sperm motility by Huzhibin Lab, Nanjing Medical University, citing ACMG Guidelines, 2015: Criteria:PVS1,PS4,PM4 This gene is a known causative gene for teratozoospermia, and male knockout mice of this gene have been shown to have a teratospermic phenotype and be infertile in males. Here, we find a rare homozygous variant in this gene that was not found in the control population, and this variant can lead to a change in the length of the protein.
