NM_000492.4(CFTR):c.3360A>C (p.Leu1120Phe) was classified as Uncertain significance for Cystic fibrosis by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.L1120F variant (also known as c.3360A>C), located in coding exon 20 of the CFTR gene, results from an A to C substitution at nucleotide position 3360. The leucine at codon 1120 is replaced by phenylalanine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
