Uncertain significance for Hereditary cancer-predisposing syndrome — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_058216.3(RAD51C):c.184C>G (p.Gln62Glu), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.Q62E variant (also known as c.184C>G), located in coding exon 2 of the RAD51C gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 184. The glutamine at codon 62 is replaced by glutamic acid, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
