Uncertain significance for Hereditary pancreatitis — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_007272.3(CTRC):c.264G>C (p.Lys88Asn), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.K88N variant (also known as c.264G>C), located in coding exon 4 of the CTRC gene, results from a G to C substitution at nucleotide position 264. The lysine at codon 88 is replaced by asparagine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
