This variant lies in the VHL gene (transcript NM_000551.4) at coding-DNA position 571, where C is replaced by T; at the protein level this means replaces histidine at residue 191 with tyrosine — a missense variant. Submitter rationale: This sequence change replaces histidine, which is basic and polar, with tyrosine, which is neutral and polar, at codon 191 of the VHL protein (p.His191Tyr). This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with VHL-related conditions.
