Submitter rationale: This sequence change replaces glycine, which is neutral and non-polar, with valine, which is neutral and non-polar, at codon 297 of the CTSC protein (p.Gly297Val). This variant is present in population databases (no rsID available, gnomAD 0.0009%). This missense change has been observed in individual(s) with Papillon–Lefevre syndrome (PMID: 18945301).
