Pathogenic for Familial intrahepatic cholestasis — the classification assigned by Genomenon, Inc, Genomenon, Inc to NM_003742.4(ABCB11):c.279C>A (p.Tyr93Ter), citing Genomenon Sequence Variant Interpretation Standards - Updated: ABCB11 p.Tyr93Ter (c.279C>A) is a nonsense variant that introduces a premature stop codon at amino acid position 93, creating a truncated protein that is predicted to undergo nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. This variant has been observed in at least one proband with an ABCB11-related disorder (PMID:28733223). It is absent or not present at a significant frequency in gnomAD. In conclusion, we classify ABCB11 p.Tyr93Ter (c.279C>A) as a pathogenic variant.
