Submitter rationale: For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant disrupts a region of the SLC25A15 protein in which other variant(s) (p.Thr272Ile) have been determined to be pathogenic (PMID: 19242930, 24473688). This suggests that this is a clinically significant region of the protein, and that variants that disrupt it are likely to be disease-causing. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with SLC25A15-related conditions. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Phe253Leufs*8) in the SLC25A15 gene.
