Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_004364.5(CEBPA):c.698C>G (p.Pro233Arg), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.P233R variant (also known as c.698C>G), located in coding exon 1 of the CEBPA gene, results from a C to G substitution at nucleotide position 698. The proline at codon 233 is replaced by arginine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is highly conserved in available vertebrate species. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
