Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NM_001200.4(BMP2):c.834_835del (p.Glu280fs), citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This premature translational stop signal has been observed in individual(s) with clinical features of BMP2-related conditions (Invitae). In at least one individual the variant was observed to be de novo. This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Glu280Lysfs*13) in the BMP2 gene. While this is not anticipated to result in nonsense mediated decay, it is expected to disrupt the last 117 amino acid(s) of the BMP2 protein.
