Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_004260.4(RECQL4):c.106G>A (p.Glu36Lys), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.E36K variant (also known as c.106G>A), located in coding exon 2 of the RECQL4 gene, results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 106. The glutamic acid at codon 36 is replaced by lysine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Based on the available evidence, the clinical significance of this variant remains unclear.
