This premature translational stop signal has been observed in individual(s) with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2B (PMID: 18853459, 19528035). This variant is not present in population databases (gnomAD no frequency). This sequence change creates a premature translational stop signal (p.Ser1958Profs*3) in the DYSF gene.
