Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute San Juan Capistrano to GRCh37/hg19 12q24.31-24.33(chr12:121551496-133777902)x3, citing ACMG/ClinGen CNV Guidelines, 2019: The copy number gain of 12q24.31q24.33 falls within the larger 12q duplication region and has been reported in many patients with neurodevelopmental and skeletal phenotypes (Tajara 1985, Rodriguez 2002, Ireland 2004, Bao 2005, Chen 2006, Joaquim 2020). There are no similar copy number gains of this region in the general populations of the Database of Genomic Variants. Thus, based on current medical literature and gene content, this copy number variant (CNV) is interpreted as pathogenic._x000D__x000D_ References:_x000D__x000D_ Bao et al., Am J Med Genet A. 2005 Nov 1;138(4):361-4.
