This variant was in co-occurrency with the S allele (PI*S) . This variant has never been reported in SERPINA1 related-disorders. Null alleles variants in SERPINA1 are known to be pathogenic. This variant was absent from large population studies (gnomAD no frequency). In summary, the available evidence for c.250_257dup, (p.Met87Profs*21) SERPINA1 variant meets our criteria to be classified as Likely Pathogenic based upon its absence from controls and computational evidence of pathogenicity.
