NM_001365951.3(KIF1B):c.4100A>G (p.Asn1367Ser) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.N1321S variant (also known as c.3962A>G), located in coding exon 36 of the KIF1B gene, results from an A to G substitution at nucleotide position 3962. The asparagine at codon 1321 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be tolerated by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
