NM_198578.4(LRRK2):c.5807T>G (p.Leu1936Arg) was classified as Uncertain significance for Inborn genetic diseases by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.L1936R variant (also known as c.5807T>G), located in coding exon 40 of the LRRK2 gene, results from a T to G substitution at nucleotide position 5807. The leucine at codon 1936 is replaced by arginine, an amino acid with dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
