NM_001386125.1(OBSCN):c.21533-2709G>T was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.W6325C variant (also known as c.18975G>T), located in coding exon 81 of the OBSCN gene, results from a G to T substitution at nucleotide position 18975. The tryptophan at codon 6325 is replaced by cysteine, an amino acid with highly dissimilar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
