Uncertain significance — the classification assigned by Ambry Genetics to NM_001023.4(RPS20):c.91T>C (p.Ser31Pro), citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.S31P variant (also known as c.91T>C), located in coding exon 2 of the RPS20 gene, results from a T to C substitution at nucleotide position 91. The serine at codon 31 is replaced by proline, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
