The variant was absent in 248412 control chromosomes. In other transcripts (NM_080425.3), the variant results in a frameshift, however according to the GTEx database, those transcripts are not highly expressed in tissues. The available data on variant occurrences in the general population are insufficient to allow any conclusion about variant significance. To our knowledge, no occurrence of c.-38157dupT in individuals affected with GNAS-Related Disorders and no experimental evidence demonstrating its impact on protein function have been reported. No clinical diagnostic laboratories have submitted clinical-significance assessments for this variant to ClinVar after 2014.
