NM_006506.5(RASA2):c.587C>T (p.Thr196Ile) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.T196I variant (also known as c.587C>T), located in coding exon 6 of the RASA2 gene, results from a C to T substitution at nucleotide position 587. The threonine at codon 196 is replaced by isoleucine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
