NM_001365951.3(KIF1B):c.1739A>G (p.His580Arg) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.H534R variant (also known as c.1601A>G), located in coding exon 16 of the KIF1B gene, results from an A to G substitution at nucleotide position 1601. The histidine at codon 534 is replaced by arginine, an amino acid with highly similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, this alteration is predicted to be deleterious by in silico analysis. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
