NM_001365951.3(KIF1B):c.2626G>A (p.Gly876Ser) was classified as Uncertain significance by Ambry Genetics, citing Ambry Variant Classification Scheme 2023: The p.G830S variant (also known as c.2488G>A), located in coding exon 23 of the KIF1B gene, results from a G to A substitution at nucleotide position 2488. The glycine at codon 830 is replaced by serine, an amino acid with similar properties. This amino acid position is conserved. In addition, the in silico prediction for this alteration is inconclusive. Since supporting evidence is limited at this time, the clinical significance of this alteration remains unclear.
