Pathogenic for Bardet-Biedl syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000014.8:g.(?_89319295)_(89319420_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with TTC8-related conditions. This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 8 of the TTC8 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in TTC8 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 16308660, 16877420, 19797195, 21052717, 30886724).
