Pathogenic for Maple syrup urine disease — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000006.11:g.(?_80910651)_(80910770_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 7 of the BCKDHB gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in BCKDHB are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 16786533, 22593002). This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with BCKDHB-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
