Pathogenic for Arterial tortuosity syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000020.10:g.(?_45357972)_(45358147_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. This variant disrupts a region of the SLC2A10 protein in which other variant(s) (p.Gly489Arg) have been determined to be pathogenic (PMID: 25373504, 29323665). This suggests that this is a clinically significant region of the protein, and that variants that disrupt it are likely to be disease-causing. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with SLC2A10-related conditions. This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 4 of the SLC2A10 gene. While this deletion is not anticipated to lead to nonsense mediated decay, it is expected to disrupt the C-terminus of the protein.
