Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000008.10:g.(?_87738739)_(87738905_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 3 of the CNGB3 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in CNGB3 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 28795510). A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with achromatopsia (PMID: 28795510). It has also been observed to segregate with disease in related individuals. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
