Pathogenic for Joubert syndrome — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000009.11:g.(?_138392557)_(141016451_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): A gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing the full coding sequence of the INPP5E gene has been identified. Loss-of-function variants in INPP5E are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 19668216, 23034536, 23386033, 28125082). The boundaries of this event are unknown as they extend beyond the assayed region for this gene and therefore may encompass additional genes. This variant has not been reported in the literature in individuals affected with INPP5E-related conditions. For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic.
