Pathogenic — the classification assigned by Labcorp Genetics (formerly Invitae), Labcorp to NC_000010.10:g.(?_94366896)_(94367014_?)del, citing Invitae Variant Classification Sherloc (09022015): For these reasons, this variant has been classified as Pathogenic. A similar copy number variant has been observed in individual(s) with microcephaly and chorioretinopathy (PMID: 31077665). In at least one individual the variant was observed to be de novo. This variant is a gross deletion of the genomic region encompassing exon(s) 4 of the KIF11 gene. This deletion is out-of-frame, and is expected to create a premature termination codon and result in an absent or disrupted protein product. Loss-of-function variants in KIF11 are known to be pathogenic (PMID: 22284827, 24281367).
